attorney's that bait and switch

If you live in a state where recording conversations is "LEGAL", then do it.  In Oregon & Arizona, it is perfectly legal to record conversations and not tell the other party you are recording them; provided of course you are directly involved in the conversation you are recording; meaning, the other party(s) in the conversation know you are in the conversation (you are speaking with the other party(s) in the conversation, or they know you are on the line. 

It's usually "ILLEGAL" to record the conversation of other people to which you are not a party to the conversation.  This means you cannot eavesdrop like our buddies do in the FBI, CIA, NSA and certain Oregon agencies.  If you ask me, it's an abuse of power for the agencies to do it, and it's extremely hypocritical for attorneys to get butt hurt over the fact that YOU RECORDED THEM TO HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE (protect yourself).  Regardless, if your attorney is too chicken shit to step up and put his money where his mouth is, if he is too chicken shit to hold the line on integrity, then he is probably dirty.

Unfortunately, too many attorneys are simply afraid to stand up to the system.  You must remember, they sold their soul to the BAR, and they are sworn officers of the court!  It's a good olé boy club (especially in Oregon), and FEW are those that will stand up and sue the government when it colors outside the lines.  

I have emails from a Federal Defense attorney where he states that the Federal government is full of corruption and abuse.  I have voice recordings and emails from local Oregon attorneys that state the same thing about the various agencies in Oregon.  I even called the top Judicial agency in Oregon and explained that Columbia County is corrupt, and that I need to report it.  They admitted there are issues of corruption, but said they have NO JURISDICTION.  Can you believe that statement???  It's crazy!

Trust your instincts.  Attorneys are in fact officers of the court, and therefore they DON'T really care about you at all.  Their first allegiance is TO THE COURT, and their second allegiance is billable hours.  I hate to break the news to you, even though you are paying the bill, you are last in the priority list.

Just because your attorney has no complaints filed at the BAR, that does not mean they are good attorneys.  Check out the video at the top of this page for a prime example of an attorney that suffers from a typical 'God Complex".   I have not filed the COMPLAINT yet, but it's on its way! :)
